Admissions Specialist
BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Admissions Specialist to join our expanding team!

The Position
The ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST will be responsible for the admissions process for prospective clients, from initial inquiry through to the moment each client starts in one of our programs. He/she will manage all tasks related to program admits, including initial consultation with clients and their families, ongoing outreach to clients contemplating treatment, program orientation, and contributing to the fulfillment of program census.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and conduct initial intake assessments
Manage program inquiries, track prospective clients from initial call to program admit
Make and deliver recommendations to prospective clients
Effectively communicate with clients and their families/friends and other referral sources to expedite the admissions process and verify admissions criteria
Explain financial obligations to clients upon admission and manage financial documents related to program
Work with Admissions Director to assign new clients a treatment team during their stay and make outpatient referrals as necessary
Attend staff meetings, and keep the team aware of upcoming admits through case presentations
Input client information into facility database, oversee the creation of client chart, and manage chart as needed until admit
Who You Are:
Coach, counselor, or therapist.
Sales experience and training required.
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively when addressing an audience
Knowledge of motivational interviewing.
Strong communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task
Ability to support the Admissions Director.
Knowledge of eating disorders and eating disorder treatment a PLUS
Lived experience with eating disorders a PLUS
Experience with working in the mental health field, either in a clinical or admissions-related role preferred
