Recovery Coach
BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Recovery Coach to join our expanding team!

The Position
BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ is seeking a Recovery Coach for our eating disorder programs. Applicants must be available to work during one or more of the following periods:
Day Program: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-2:00 pm
Evening Program: Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm-9:00 pm
Saturday Program: 8:00 am - 2:15 pm
Responsibilities
Determine and order meals for programs per the established meal schedule
Plate and provide appropriate portioning for each meal and snack according to client meal plans and preferences
Set-up and breakdown of meals, snacks and individual meal supports
Lead and prepare client snacks
Assist with Tuesday afternoon cooking group
Maintain excellent hygiene of the kitchen, dining room, and public office spaces
Provide support to RD as needed (i.e., when out to eat, grocery shopping)
Provide support to administrative staff as needed
Ensure all meals and food orders stay within our clinic budget - daily, weekly and monthly.
Maintain associated spreadsheets and records, and report these monthly to the CEO
Attend weekly RC meetings to ensure excellent communication and improvements of operations and processes
Provide excellent communication to fellow RCs and RDs as needed regarding day-to-day operations of the kitchen
Who You Are
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics (3rd & 4th year students will be considered)
Detail Oriented & organized
Possess time management skills
Interested in gaining experience in eating disorders, mental health, or nutrition
Preferred Experience
Food Service
Knowledge of the Food Exchange System
Great opportunity for a nutrition student eager to get eating disorder/food service experience before completing their dietetic internship.
