Student life escalates stress, social pressure, freedom around food choices, and schedule changes.

These elements, compounded with certain character traits, underdeveloped coping skills, and genetic predisposition, create the perfect storm for an eating disorder to develop.

The prevalence of eating disorders among school-age individuals compels schools and educators to understand their influential role in identifying and supporting a student’s recovery.

In this panel discussion, hear from outpatient and residential eating disorder clinicians and the head of a therapeutic school.
