THIS FREE EVENT WILL FEATURE BALANCE FOUNDER & IFEDD MEMBER MELAINIE ROGERS

In this presentation, Melainie Rogers will take us on a journey of all things gluten. She will lead a discussion and provide guidance on the following:

  • What to do when a client comes in for eating disorder treatment reporting gluten sensitivities

  • Foods to accommodate in treatment

  • When to insist on allergy tests and which tests to order

  • What happens next in terms of case management and treatment options if a client’s allergy tests are negative

  • How do we best treat people with both an eating disorder and celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivities?

  • What about our WPAG (People Without Celiac Disease Avoiding Gluten) eating disorder clients who may insist on eliminating gluten from their meals?

THIS WILL BE AN INFORMATIVE PRESENTATION AND AN INTERACTIVE DISCUSSION IN WHICH CASE SCENARIOS AND QUESTIONS ARE ENCOURAGED!

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:

This presentation can count towards hours for those RDs seeking the CEDRD certification, as Melainie is an iaedp-approved supervisor. The presentation will not be eligible to count towards general CEUs through the CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
