Who you are:

The intake coordinator is the first point of contact for a person, or person of a loved one,  seeking eating disorder treatment. Coordinators will create relationships with these individuals and provide resources and support as necessary. They will walk prospective clients through the intake process and explain the various programs BALANCE offers. Coordinators will be scheduling intake assessments, along with follow up appointments for the clients. Coordinators will also be responsible for assisting the admissions team with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, empathetic, and detail oriented. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Initial Intake assessment.

  • Follow up on inquiries, incoming calls, Acuities, and emails from clients and providing them with information about our programs, groups, individual services, webinars, and free support groups as needed.

  • Input client information into a database, and active campaign, and ensure the information is accurate and up to date.

  • Track admissions by running reports through the active campaign, and updating Intake tracking sheet.

  • Assist Admission Director and admissions team with projects as needed.

  • Second staff Free Support Group and Program as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Field, etc.

  • Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; good listener, excellent follow-up and follow-through, and willing to support and help others.

  • Diligent, efficient, motivated, extremely well organized, and proactive.

  • A positive ‘can-do!’ attitude.

  • Must be a great communicator and a team player with a passion for Eating Disorders!

  • Previous experience working in the mental health field and /or eating disorders is a plus.
