BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Program Therapist to join our expanding team!

The Position

A Primary Therapist is an important part of treatment at BALANCE in individual, group, and family therapy. A Primary Therapist’s duties include completing clinical assessments, performing discharge and aftercare planning, as well as providing therapeutic meal support, and coordination of care with other members of the client’s referring treatment team.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead psychotherapy groups, including CBT/DBT, body image, and family groups.

  • Facilitates concurrent insurance review

  • Conduct one-on-one individual therapy and family therapy sessions.

  • Maintains appropriate and timely communication with client care team and other significant contacts, conveying a positive professional image.

  • Individual Case Management and coordination.

  • Attend all rounds, staff meetings, and group supervision.

  • Complete all required clinical notes.

  • Conduct intake assessments as needed.

  • Represent BALANCE marketing events as needed.

  • Provide team coverage as needed.

  • Additional responsibilities as requested

Who You Are

  • Passionate about eating disorders prevention and intervention

  • LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LMSW

  • Knowledge of HAES and Intuitive Eating

  • Dynamic, flexible, team player, takes initiative

  • Eager to grow with a quickly expanding company
