Tanya Marwaha

PROGRAM THERAPIST (she/her/hers)

Tanya is a mental health counselor who completed her graduate education at Columbia University. As a therapist, she seeks to create a warm, gentle, safe space where clients can identify and process the many layers of their relationship with food and their bodies. She recognizes the importance of understanding one’s values and behaviors in a cultural context and within the web of intersecting identities. Prior clinical experience has trained her in psychodynamic, relational, and emotionally-focused therapeutic approaches. She also enjoys incorporating skills from DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based modalities. Tanya firmly believes everybody deserves to live with intention, vibrance, and ease. Ultimately, the client is the expert on their life— a good therapist is a mere guide and witness to helping one eat, feel, and live wholly and freely.
